Quick Information!
- Brand: Keurig
- Model: K50
- Brew Sizes: 6, 8 and 10 oz
- Water Reservoir: 48 oz
- Colour: Black
- Weight: 7.6 pounds
- Dimension: 9.8×13×13.3 inches
Speed:
The Keurig boast that all their coffee brewers brew the coffee in under a minute. But do they? For Keurig k50 this indeed does not brew under a minute but brew it over a minute.
Brewing Fe1ature:
The Keurig K50 offers another brewing option that is the potent Brew, and this option is the best for those who like to have a little too much kick of caffeine. It is a type of espresso, but it is not an espresso but is strong.
Water Filter:
I know water filter is not quite a significant feature, but we do not need to know about every detail, right? Because the coffee is made up of water and coffee. Well, the K50 only relies on the mesh filter alone, so they do not have the charcoal filters. So if you are someone who likes charcoal filters, you should go for k55.
Cleaning:
Cleaning the coffee machines is a chore that no one likes to do. But good thing the Keurig coffee brewers are quite easy to clean. The K50 has a removable K-cup holder, drip tray, and water reservoir which you can easily clean up and put back in place.
Visuals:
Visually the K50 ones are an ok design I mean they come in one black colour, which is I think a perfect colour as there are fewer chances of its staining. But the design lacks a bit of smoothness and is a pointy one.

Quick Information!
- Brand: Keurig
- Model: K55
- Brew Size: 6,8,10 ounces
- Water Reservoir: 48 ounces
- Strong Brew: yes
- Weight: 2.99 pounds
- Dimension: 9.8×13×13.3 inches
Brewing Features:
For brewing features, the Keurig k55 Offers three brew options. Like K50, it does not offer the strong Brew one, which is a little downside of it.
It only provides the standard three options of the Brew, but neither the K50 nor K55 gives you the opportunity of making lattes or cappuccinos, so that is a little thing to note.
Speed:
As we talked earlier, Keurig boasts about their coffee makers that they can brew in under one minute so turns out that the Keurig K55 fulfils that Slogan. K55 brews your coffee in under a minute so you can have a fresh cup of coffee in your hands as soon as possible.
Water Filter:
Believe me, a water filter is worthy to note as these are the things that filter all the toxic substances. In this context, the K55 actually takes the lead as it has the Activated Charcoal filters that filter out the water effectively and give you the best and safe coffee free of toxicity.
Cleanliness:
Well for the cleaning aspect the Keurig K55 again take the lead as along with all the removable components it also has a Maintenance Reminder that reminds you that it is time to clean up your brewer or run the descaling solution through it.
So you won’t have to worry about the descaling even if you forget about it. Whereas K50 does not give you that option, and it is up to your brain to remember the descaling.
Aesthetics:
Aesthetically I think K55 is more pleasing as compared to the K50 as it has that sleek and smooth finish that a coffee maker should have. All the edges are smooth with no pointy areas and make it more compact looking. The best choice for the modern kitchen as it itself gives the modern vibes.
Let’s have a little comparison to determine which one is the best?

Our Opinion:
As this one has faster features, with the superb filter options and the cleaning is also easy. The only extra option that the Keurig K50 gives is the New Strong Brew option which is not present in the K55 other than that the K55 ace in all the fields. And the good thing is that this model is not going to be discontinued like the other ones. FAQs: No, it is not. You can use the K-cup and your favourite brand of coffee with both models. Yes, vinegar can work pretty well in descaling for both. But you can also use the descaling solutions that the brand comes with. It is better to use the solution. Yeah, they are a little noisy mostly depends on the type of model you are using. In this, the K50 is a little noisy than the K55. No these K-cups are not environment friendly as they are plastic and they are not recyclable. Other Keurig Coffee Makers: Is it necessary to use the K-Cups with these?
